Yes. After purchasing your ticket, email us your full name, nationality, date of birth, passport number, and the details of the embassy or consulate where you will apply.
Once paid, tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person for the same event. Please see the next question for the transfer policy.

To request a transfer, email info@yayyay.events with your full name, email, ticket code or order number, reason for the transfer, and the new attendee’s full name, role, company, and email address.
Deadlines are based on the event’s first official day. Dates are calendar days, and requests must arrive by 23:59 CET on the final day of each transfer window.

Tieso Tickets offer free afternoon access from 15:00 on Thursday, Friday, or both days to eligible applicants.
They are intended for unemployed people and students who have never worked in IT. Applicants must complete the application form and provide the required documents for validation. They are not intended for people who have previously worked in IT or for career change applications. Check the Tickets page for the application form and current conditions.
Lambda World is part of Yay-Yay Conf 2026, taking place at Palacio de Congresos de Torremolinos, in the coastal town of Torremolinos, a short distance from Málaga, Spain.

You can reach the venue by public transport, taxi, ride-hailing services, or car. A taxi from Málaga Airport takes less than 10 minutes. Torremolinos is connected by the Cercanías C1 train line to Málaga city centre, María Zambrano station, and Málaga Airport. Torremolinos station is around a 15-minute walk or a short taxi ride from the venue. By car, take exit 222 (Torremolinos/Palacio de Congresos) from the A-7 and follow the signs.

Yes. A cloakroom will be available at the conference venue for luggage, coats, and backpacks while you attend sessions.
Lambda World takes place on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, 2026, as part of Yay-Yay Conf. The programme combines J On The Beach, Lambda World, and Wey Wey Web across two days. Check the agenda for the latest session times; lunch is served from 13:00 to 15:00 on both days.
You do not need a laptop for conference talks. Some workshops may require one, so check the requirements on the individual workshop page before registering. You may use the cloakroom for your backpack and laptop during the conference.
Lambda World offers Canela workshops: hands-on sessions with limited capacity that require prior registration. Canela workshops are included with eligible tickets. Check your ticket confirmation for the workshop entitlement and booking details.
Workshop registration is mandatory and places are limited. Booking is not automatic, so reserve a place as early as possible. Eligible Lambda World ticket holders can use the code C4ne1AWorkSh0ps to book a Canela workshop. If you cannot find the code in your order confirmation, email info@yayyay.events. See this short video tutorial for help with registration.
The programme runs across four talk tracks and three workshop rooms. Please arrive early for sessions in smaller rooms, as seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
No registration is required for conference talks. Workshop registration is mandatory and places are limited, so please book your workshop seat in advance.

There is no formal dress code for the conference, although shirts and shoes or sandals are required at all times. Costumes are required for the Halloween Closing Party on Friday.

Full conference tickets include non-stop coffee and lunch on both conference days. A cafeteria at the venue will also sell drinks and snacks.
